Introduction
Hello, my name is Jacob. I am male, and around the age of when a chemical imbalance occurs within the brain- when all the rebellious teenagers start to pop up. I have a variety of hobbies which include creating piano covers of songs that I have stuck within my head, and working on a secret project which is confidential to the public. I have a taste for blazers, clothing with lapels, and I tend to dye my short hair a dark red every October. As I previously vaguely mentioned, I am a teenager, and thus I am still trapped within the overwhelming cells of the high school walls. Because of this, I must have a few subjects which I can at least bare without falling hopelessly asleep. One of these subjects is the Graphic Tech course, which I like because we work with computers, specifically Photoshop. English class is one of the courses that I take as well, and this book blog was created because of the class. Within this book blog unit, we as a class are to all individually create book blogs, manage them, and create posts about the books we are reading every Friday. The Book
The book I am going to currently read for this book blog is Divergent by Veronica Roth. I didn't specifically pick this book, but was told to read it (actually I'm being forced) by a good friend of mine. I have only read up to chapter 5 within the book as of this date, but I do have an understanding of what is happening in the novel. The novel of choice is about the young 16 year old Beatrice, whom lives in the setting of a presumingly post apocalyptic dystopian city which is split up into 5 factions. These five factions are Abnegation (the selfless), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave), Erudite (the intelligent), and Amity (the peaceful). The protagonist Beatrice is part of the Abnegation faction, and just recently as of where I am in the book, she has just gone through an assessment which all 16 year olds go through where they are to choose which faction they want to dedicate the rest of their lives towards. No antagonist has arose as of yet, but I predict that the antagonist may be a leader of their corrupted government. Without an antagonist, there isn't much conflict, and I predict that maybe a revolution will happen somewhere in the book where one of the factions revolts against the government.I have no idea what will happen, and the only way is to keep reading, so stay tuned for more posts about this book coming every Friday.
